Best and Worst Eye Primers

hey! today i'm going to share what i think are some of the best and worst eye primers, judging by my own experiences. i'll specifically label each one as being "one of the best" or "one of the worst," as well as
rate each one on a scale of one to five and link you to a more detailed review.

1) Maybelline Color Tattoo Cream Shadows ($7)
rating: 4.5 out of 5
- these are great! they're so pigmented and easy to work with. they really make shadow pop and i don't find them creasing, even on my disgustingly oily eyelids. to my pleasant surprise, they can even stand alone.
hope they come out with more colors!!

2) M.A.C. Paintpots ($15)
rating: 4 out of 5
- i really like the texture and pigmentation of these. i just wish they were a liiiiittle more crease resistant.

3) Urban Decay Primer Potion [or Too Faced Shadow Insurance] ($18)
rating: 5 out of 5
- i was shocked as to how long my eyeshadow remained creaseless (about 12 hours) with this underneath! it doesn't do as great a job at making colors more vibrant, but you can layer a cream shadow over this
to get that effect, so it's definetely worth the splurge.

4) NYX Eyeshadow Base ($6)
rating: 3 out of 5
- these come in three different colors. they are some of the best at making your shadows more vibrant and can make even the cheapest shadows look high end. my only beef is that they crease pretty easily.

5) NYX Jumbo Eye Pencils ($5)
rating: 3.5 out of 4
- i feel the same way about these as i do about nyx's regular eye bases, just they come in more colors which boosts their score a pinch, lol.

6) E.l.f. Eyelid Primer ($1)
rating: 1 out of 5
- this does nothing for my shadow accept aid in producing oil.

7) Wet 'n Wild Idol Eyes Cream Shadow Pencils ($2)
rating: 2 out of 5
- these are a cheaper alternative to the nyx jumbo eye pencils, but they don't come in as many colors and crease pretty bad, especially without powder shadow on top.

8) E.l.f. Cream Shadow Duos ($1)
rating: 2.5 out of 5
- these are gross! they crease like non other. you've got apply such a thin layer as to the point where there's barely any pigmentation left. ucky, but for everyday or just beginner use, they aren't that bad (especially
considering they only cost a dollar).
